“On April 14th, 1998 I received a liver transplant that saved my life. This was a gift that I thought couldn’t be matched until that April. I went on to marry the woman of my dreams and on December 22nd, 2006 my son Aiden Arthur was born and on January 12th, 2009 my daughter Annabell Dorothy was born. What started out as one life saving gift has turned out to be a gift of ONE wonderful marriage and the creation of TWO wonderful lives. So when you are having that family discussion about whether or not to donate your loved one’s organs/tissues, reflect back to the gift of life that my family and I received. You may think you’re only saving one life but in all reality you could be helping create many more lives that bring so much joy to the world. Lastly, I would like to thank my donor, Dorothy, and her family for making the decision of donating her organs and saving and creating so many lives.”
