2024 The “Coming Home” Ride Schedule
After eleven years and 2500 miles it is time for the “Coming Home” Ride

Day 1, Tuesday, May 28
Early arrivals, set up, and fellowship at Lake Bronson State Park Group Camp. The group camp is located South of Lake Bronson 2 miles on Highway 59 then 2 miles east on Highway 10 on the north side of the road. There is free access to the showers/restroom in the main campground across the lake. There is a sewer dump and fresh water by the State Park entrance. There is a water hydrant at the group camp for horses
Day 2, Wednesday May 29
(9 Miles) Leave from the group camp at 8:30 AM and haul horses to Pelan park, 13 miles east on Highway 10, south on 120th Ave 3.3 miles and back west .5 miles. The park is on the south side of the road. We will ride to the Greenbush Legion Club. We will follow Highway 11 east for 8 miles, go north on gravel to Minnesota Street, then East to the Legion club. We will haul horses back to the group camp for the night. An Evening meal will be provided. Support crew will assist in moving vehicles. We will provide a large stock trailer to haul horses for anyone that does not want to move their camper.
Day 3, Thursday, May 30
(11 Miles) Leave from the group camp at 8:30 AM and haul horses to Pelan park, 13 miles east on Highway 10, south on 120th Ave 3.3 miles and back west .5 miles. The park is on the south side of the road. We will ride to the Karlstad Legion Club. We will follow Highway 11 west for 11 miles, turn west on Oak Ridge Lane (first gravel coming into town), then south on Highway 59 and west through the park, then south to Legion Club. We will haul horses back to the group camp for the night. An Evening meal will be provided Karlstad Lion Club. Support crew will assist in moving vehicles. We will provide a large stock trailer to haul horses for anyone that does not want to move their camper.
Day 4, Friday, May 31
(13 miles) Leave from the group camp at 8:30 AM and haul horses to Karlstad Legion Club. We will ride back to the group camp. We will go north of the club, through the Karlstad Park to Highway 59. We will go west on 130th St 1 mile, 1 mile north on 410 Ave, 2 miles west on 140th St, 4 miles north on Highway 20. We will stop for lunch at the Frog Pond in Halma, lunch will be provided. After lunch we will continue north on Highway 20 for 4 miles, turn west on Highway 10 for .5 miles back to the group camp. An Evening meal will also be provided. Support crew will assist in moving vehicles. We will provide a large stock trailer to haul horses for anyone that does not want to move their camper.
Day 5, Saturday June 1
(13 miles) We will leave from the group camp at 9:00 AM and ride the trails in the park, ending up at the north end of the park, take Highway 28 2 miles into Lake Bronson and stop at the Lake Bronson Legion. Take Highway 59 south 2 miles, go east on Highway 10 2 miles back to the group camp. A silent auction and fellowship evening will follow. Doug and Econ will make supper this night. The silent auction will close at 8:00 PM.
Day 6 Sunday, June 2
Load up, clean stalls, and head for home. Another 46 miles to add to our epic journey!
