2022 Roger’s Journal2022 Group JournalThe 2022 Tenth Annual Trails4Transplants (T4T) South Dakota Saga trail ride commenced May 25-28, in Ft Pierre, SD. May 25 riders and staff arrived at Stanley County Fairgrounds in Ft Pierre, SD. On May 26, we took a 17 mile horse ride around the hills of southwest of Ft Pierre, with a total of 18 riders, 3 ATVers, and 11 Support Staff. Day 3 May 27, we took a 15 mile horse ride around another set of hills southwest of Ft Pierre with 24 riders, 2 ATVers, and 5 Support Staff. Last day of the ride was on May 28 and took a 10 mile ride around another set of hills west of Ft Pierre with 28 riders, 2 ATVers, and 8 support staff. During the entire in Ft Pierre we enjoyed wonderful weather and beautiful SD scenery. Overall totals of the ride include over 400 horse miles and $23,000.00 in fund raised.
At the end of November 2022, Trails4Transplant supported the Donate Life Tree during the ND Hall of Trees – a Christmas tree display at the ND capitol that draws in thousands of visitors. This tree honored organ, eye, and tissue donors as well as recognizing North Dakota transplant recipients who have been blessed to receive these life-saving gifts. Families can create an ornament in honor of their loved one.
