Trails4Transplant’s Epic Journey
We are on an epic journey
Called Trails4Transplants;
Our goal is to raise money;
And give it away as grants.
To folks that need a transplant;
And are waiting to receive
A heart or eye or liver;
Or lung to help them breathe.
More important than the money
Is the awareness and that seed;
That we plant in folks so they donate;
And give to those in need.
Most of us have connections
To our family or a friend;
Who had an organ transplant
And their lives they did extend.
So we are all committed
To this special cause;
That can bring the gift of life
To those whose lives are paused.
We ride for all the donors;
We ride for those that get;
Those that received or gave the gift
That we can’t easily forget.
We are part way through our journey
Of horseback, fellowship and miles;
To reach our challenged goal
Of riding 2000 miles.
We will need a lot of help
From others along the way;
To help us plan and fund the trek
Or give us a place to stay.
So contribute where you can;
Wish us well upon our steeds;
Register to be a donor;
And give life to those in need.
